Behold the New York City skyline "painted" from the rooftop of an Old Law Tenement on the Lower East Side in 1987. Ironic indeed is the contrast of the burned out apartment buildings in the foreground to the wealth represented by the gleaming towers in the distance.
A photo was made at night, using a
tripod and an exposure of approximately 45 seconds. The photo was then
converted into an "oil painting" using John Bradley's xv program.
