The situation boils down, in some cases, to what I believe to be fraud, pure and simple.
I have done what I can about the situation, as it relates in particular to Iomega Corporation, as you can discover by visiting my Web site at
http://personal.riverusers.com/~s/action.htmand at the pages related to that.
However, there is now good reason to believe that multitudinous complaints are falling upon deaf ears at the Utah Office of the Attorney General. Therefore, I am asking you to look into these matters, to ensure that existing laws are being enforced, and to encourage passage by Congress of new laws which will cover such problems, if you deem such action to be appropriate.
I shall post this letter at my Web site and shall send copies of it to many of the people who have complained to me about Iomega Corporation, Roy, Utah, U.S.A., and to a few others as well.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.
Sincerely, -Stephen A. Langford- Stephen A. Langford, Ph.D. 9140 N. Shadow Mt. Dr. Oro Valley, Greater TUCSON Arizona AZ 85737 U.S.A. Voice/FAX 520.297.0448 s@TheRiver.com
In the above letter, I neglected to touch on the question of rebates at all. That was an error of omission. In any case, you will find plenty of correspondence at this site, on other pages, concerning problems with rebates.
