	Family. We always put each other first, and as our clan grows, family will continue to be our number one priority. We are well prepared to welcome a baby (or babies) of either gender into our life at this time. Community. We strongly believe in giving back to our community, and we have both been involved in numerous service organizations. Vicki is looking forward to the volunteering for the PTA, girl scouts and boy scouts, and school field trips. Cam is looking forward to coaching, music festivals, and holiday parades. Faith. We both grew up attending protestant churches. We consider ourselves religious, but tolerant of other spiritual beliefs, and open to new ideas. Adoption. Cameron and his two sisters were adopted at birth, and Vicki was adopted by her stepfather when she was seven. We both feel extremely comfortable with the idea of adoption. We believe that a child can never have too many people who love them, and therefore we are open to whatever level of ongoing contact that birth parents may desire. If our baby’s birthparents choose a closed adoption process, we will make sure that our child understands that placing a child for adoption is a loving choice. It is very important to us that our children know that their birth family loves them and that their adoptive parents want them and value them above all else. People. We are both curious and respectful of other cultures, and look forward to introducing our child to the world’s diversity. We are committed to raising our children to respect all human beings, regardless of race, culture, gender, or disability. Rest assured that any child raised in our family will be encouraged to explore their own cultural heritage as well as the cultural heritage of others. Parenting. We believe the role of parents is to nurture, protect, inspire, educate, encourage, and lead by example. We feel it is important to be consistent but fair, firm but loving, and supportive but not controlling. If you choose us to parent your child, we promise to provide them with an excellent education, lots of quality time, a safe, loving, and happy home, the space to discover their uniqueness, the support to realize their dreams, and the encouragement to explore their world.
