Holidays are a big deal in both our families.  We spend every holiday with family and have many traditions.  At Christmas, Cam has been known to sneak out in the middle of the night to make reindeer tracks.  Vicki decorates every room in the house.  Both grandmas cook and bake up a storm.  Vicki’s dad spends hours putting together toys, while Cam’s dad dresses up as Santa and passes out gifts to the sick children in the hospital.  Uncle Allan and Aunt Nora take Christmas to a new level.  A twenty-foot tree, thousands of decorations, talking life-size Santas, and trains make the house into a children’s wonderland.  At Halloween, ours is the house that everyone comes to see.  We pick a theme and transform the house into a ghoulish delight.  Friends and relatives show up in costume to help us run all the special effects and pass out the candy.  One year, we had over 400 trick-or-treaters.  On July 4^th, we have a barbecue, decorate our boat, and watch fireworks on the water.
