============================================ PETITION FOR NAMING OR CHANGING THE NAMES OF PARKS & RECREATION FACILITIES
Proposed Name: Stephen Patrick Dorame Field Present Name: Field #7 Briefly state reason for proposed name: Stephen Patrick Dorame played six years of Little League Baseball on this field. He was killed in an accident earlier this year and, in his name, the Dorame family has made some very generous donations to the Cactus Little League. Since this field has no official name, we would like to honor his memory and show our thanks to his family by renaming Field #7. This will give his family a place to go where Stephen happily spent a large part of his childhood. KGUN-9 News and Congressman Kolbe has expressed interest in attending our opening ceremonies on March 14, 2001 when we plan to make this official. We would also like to have someone from Parks & Recreaction attend if possible. The names on the petition include people from the Freedom Park neighborhood as well as those members of Cactus Little League who live in our boundaries, which extend from 22nd St. to Speedway, and Alvernon to Wilmot. Also some people involved with our league who live outside our boundaries. Thank You! Craig Klass
