Ashengrace - Surface

released 2000

Descent - Instrumental November
November, i don't think that i can feel you anymore time washed away your smile what are you waiting for the written words are lies that everyone believes and this too passes by everyone but we all hail the fallen king the emperor of change dog's children in the snow come to take the stage her words flow from beneath the graces of regret and i never can forgive what i never will forget the rains come much too late and sink into the stones the longer that we wait the farther still from home we sleep inside the heart of a sun that never sets and i never can forgive what i never will forget

so tired of watching it change so tired of watching you fall just one more hit before i go inhaled dreams how far it had to go you couldn't understand as pisces lets me go as only pisces can you couldn't comprehend how it feels to be so wrong when the storms draw me in i'm still holding on

and the further we get from the further we are the closer we get to the way that we are...

Shallow (The Aching Sea Part I) - Instrumental Sekhmet and Osiris
so silently they come so driven to the land so look towards the west.. so burn me gently with your eyes you consume me with demise you call, you drown me in osiris' dreams

i raise my hands up to the towers here that reach up to the sky she walks through windows gone so cold and grey with a better man than i if i could break these shallow waters drink from sekhmet's open grave the streets are filled with dust and empty faces now

i've never been so bare the longest night in years it's been like this forever and a day swallow ice from surfaces to breathe no more your perfect kiss and let the rain come down untill all you are is gone

i raise my hands up to the towers here that reach up to the sky she walks through windows gone so cold and grey with a better man than i if i could break these shallow waters drink from sekhmet's open grave the streets are filled with dust and empty faces now

Only Sometimes (The Aching Sea Part II The Coming Of The Tides
only sometimes sits in an empty room sometimes walks along the waters edge sometimes casts a memory to the river of forgetfulness sometimes drifts away to be alone again

every sometime that we hold comes to rest in the old man's woods so quiet in the distance, you can hear her singing down the moon, singing down the moon

we had some good dreams we had some good intentions as the tides move on we watch them drift away some low, some high, some hope, some fall sometimes hopes the change will never ever come this way

let me lay upon your shore, let me sleep forevermore make me forget that any of this ever was real, sometimes come to me as for only sometimes she's seen better days her birds have flown to southern skies

the change has come (and change is never good) and only sometimes slips away

she's holding on with shaking hands the secret pain lies in all that which you would never understand she's been running so far for so long she forgets what she came here to see she said, "i'm coming down to the tides. i'm building bridges of grief across a memory of me"

they come in armor forged with shame as the children of Lilith are put to the flame she tries to resist but they reach in down the halls of time carried away from the main who's hair flows from behind

it's harder than anything watching you fall couldn't carry you home with my back to the wall

and when you've slipped from the face of the wall i'll be waiting to catch you whenever you fall spanish eyes on the horizon, ferry me down, carry me home..

Seven Summer (The Aching Sea Part III)
the searchlight burns a shade of blue across her eyes she draws in close and holds the sea and sinks into the sky

i'm ringing bells for babylon and all her fallen dreams i'm singing tides for all you are so washed away, so long into the sea

she reaches in when all is dim and breaks the sound and when it's done you meet the one who took you down

i'm burning pages of your life that stained the book of mine i'm holding stars against the wind to sift away the time

coming up for air, still can't find the door in citadels you rise, in Israel we die if all your children sleep what promise can you keep? don't give me reasons why in another empty sigh

you know it's true, you don't ask why your written words are always lies wait for me, i'm coming home, to let it go to let it die you know it's true you don't ask why your written words are always lies wait for me, i'm coming home, to let you go, to let it die...

old as time at the edge of the aching sea distorted views of what has come to be the summer comes and stays forever here the heat waves rise from your skin and we dissapear

and it doesn't matter why, some things you cannot change, and shouldn't even try everything i tried to do, every dream that won't come true have survived in spite of you

in your undertow i cease to breathe in your silent hands to do with as you please

"say it all flows from behind, i know all the blame was mine", says the river to the shore burned in valleys long ago from distant lands to ancient hands, in the end we never understand

in caves of stone you knew me well enough to let me be the one to go forgetting why it seemed more than what it was how little you are, how brittle you are take it in your hands keep it from the cold keep it from the light, it's all you have to hold a storm is coming soon to fill your empty room a child grows old, a story is told...

Surface November (Overture)
the visitor awakens, surface in your dream, one slip beneath your sleep fading picture dissapear into the haze, though crushed beneath your feet uninvited in the gates around your heart, so close, so close to fall apart time and time again, fingers in the light, waiting in the night waiting in the night

invisible distraction easily forgotten, please, no more words you say (invisible, unreachable, deny me everything) take all i have to give, just burn it down, don't let me stand in your way (unloveable, discarded, colder than i'll ever be) and punish without reason like tides to the shore, i'll drown you in forgiveness (desirelines, the waiting time, what once was mine is now denied) what i was or what i could have been is of no consequence to you now, you say (but i will wait, come back to me...)

it's this fear of the inevitable, the parting of ways, your smile as you walk away two turns and you're right back where you used to be, falling free from me, not what you want me to be i could sit in your room at your feet and still feel you more than a million miles away from meand time is gone, and time will turn, and "time is the fire in which we burned......"

drifting into shore among the driftwood in the river closer to the door your sun is sinking in the west, the voices say it's for the best two faces falling towards the world breathe with the wind, bleed like the stone come down again, the water is gone try as you might you couldn't reach the fragile edge of Salem's beach and nothing moves and nothing changes

nothing grows where you have been

november...

november...
